With the opening of the Tour TOTAL, the first building block for the development of "Europa City" around the Berlin Hauptbahnhof is in place. The inner-city development area covers 40 hectares of land, ranging from the tracks of the railway to the Berlin-Spandauer Schifffahrtskanal.

Invalidenstraße with the direct juxtaposition of Europaplatz and Hauptbahnhof forms the southern end, and in the North, the area is bordered by Nordhafen and Perleberger Straße.

With its immediate vicinity to the government district, but also to Charité and the cultural focus of the "Hamburger Bahnhof", this urban space has tremendous potential, slated for further development over the next 20 years.
